After the loss of my father to stage four colon cancer left me living alone and wondering if my life had any purpose, watching your pets—Smokey, Oreo, and Jennifer—while you were on vacation completely reignited my desire to live. Their humorous and loving company motivated me to wake up early, take daily walks, and visit the park, where I made new human friends and finally felt reconnected to the world.
