The Teacher Who Saw My Potential..

In 10th grade, my physics teacher constantly embarrassed me whenever I got an answer wrong, until one day I snapped and told him he was terrible at teaching. A week later, he returned my midterm with a huge red circle and “See me,” so I assumed I had failed. Instead, he showed me that I had barely passed—and beside every wrong answer, he had written detailed explanations, far more than anyone else received. He told me, “You’re smart, but you panic. I’m hard on you because you can take it.” I told him he didn’t need to be that hard, and he simply replied, “Fair.” After that, he stopped humiliating me in front of the class, and I stopped pretending I didn’t care.
